Local sporting clubs are the big winners sharing in over $35,000 from the latest round of VicHealth’s Active Club Grants program.

Member for Buninyong, Geoff Howard and Member for Wendouree, Sharon Knight, visited Sebastopol Football/Netball Club to celebrate the funding, which will help local clubs to purchase new uniforms, sporting and safety equipment.

Grants of up to $3,000 and for the first time, up to $10,000, are available for local clubs in the 2015-16 funding rounds.

In total, 263 Victorian clubs will receive grants as part of this round of the VicHealth Active Club Grants program, totalling $746,000.

The VicHealth Active Club Grants program puts up to $1.5 million each year towards helping communities get more physically active.
