FUNDING TO HELP BALLARAT SECONDARY COLLEGE STUDENTS HIT THE RIGHT NOTE
The Andrews Labor Government has allocated $172,000 to Ballarat Secondary College East Campus for the upgrade of the school’s arts and technology wing.
State Member for Buninyong, Geoff Howard, visited the school today to celebrate funding from the Victorian Government’s annual school maintenance program.
“In our first budget we delivered the single biggest boost to education in the state’s history – making sure our schools get the resources they need to make every school a great school,” Mr Howard said.
“I’m pleased to announce today $172,000 to upgrade the arts wing at Ballarat Secondary (East Campus) which will deliver major improvements to the arts, technology, music and general purpose classrooms.
“Students will also benefit from $6 million to upgrade the East and Wendouree campuses.
“As a former teacher, I know the importance of delivering facilities that will inspire students to achieve their best.
“Labor is making Victoria the Education State – ensuring our kids get every opportunity to secure a first class education that leads to a good job.”
